A 73 year old Hamilton, Ohio man, missing for three days was found laying in a remote Lawrence County, Ky. stream last night, Fallsburg Vol. Fire Dept. spokesperson Chris Jobe said during a news conference in Sheriff Chuck Jackson’s office today (Tuesday).
Sheriff’s deputies along with state police discovered, Richard Bruce after motorists noticed the wrecked car near Twin Forks off the Spankem Branch area in rural Lawrence County — a few hundred yards from his silver small sized, vehicle, FVFD spokesperson Jobe said.
When the car’s license number was run through NCIC it was listed as that of a man who was “missing” which then led to the search of the area.
While investigating the accident a state police trooper (Zach Wright) heard a feint call for help coming from the creek bank where he then discovered Bruce, who was examined briefly before Jobe ordered him flown to Cabell-Huntington Med Center but his condition could not be determined today, Jobe added.
“He was coherent and talking to us as he was loaded into the copter,”Jobe said.
Jobe said the man was reported as missing after not showing up for dialysis treatments near his home. He told rescuers that he has no family.
