UPDATE JAN 7TH 1:03 PM -Today as of noon we have over 90% of the city streets clear. Our work throughout the night really paid off come daylight this morning. Our goal is to get them as clean as possible before tonights frigid temps. We have a short window now for our salt treatment to still work. The county has opened a warming center at the Lawrence County Community center (up by the high school) for anyone needing shelter tonight.
CITY OF LOUISA- Good evening folks. Wanted to jump on real quick for an update. Our Street Dept has worked non-stop since the snow begin. This has been a very difficult snowstorm to manage with ratios at over an inch per hour at times. Our limited crew will work well into the night and full crews again in the morning to ensure we clear the streets as quickly as possible. Any vehicles that can be moved off the streets is a great help to us. Our goal is to get as much removed as possible before the frigid temps tomorrow night. Thank You to all my crews, Street, Police , and Fire who worked tirelessly throughout this.
TRASH COLLECTION- We plan to attempt trash collection on a 2 hour delayed basis. I will keep you updated if that changes.
Good job Harold
But we really need to thank Andy and President Biden they cleared our roads
I’m surprised this administration hasn’t deemed snowfall as white supremacists because of it’s “whiteness”.
Hey, if they can claim tree equity in their build back better bill, then anything is possible.
“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.”
Proverbs 13:22
Maybe I should have thought about that one
