INEZ MAN HAS A BAD THURSDAY, AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP BY STATE TROOPER LEADS TO HIS ARREST
AND ALSO ADDING A ‘MOUNTAIN’ OF AUTOMOBILE-RELATED VIOLATIONS, NOW FACING 19 CHARGES.

A Martin County man still remains jailed Monday morning after a traffic stop last Thursday by a Kentucky State Police officer which led to his arrest not only on a DUI charge, but also the discovery of failing to a make a court appearance.
He was also slapped with an additional 17 automobile and traffic related violations, for a total of 19 charges.
On Thursday afternoon, July 6, Kentucky State Police trooper Dustin Thompson from KSP Post #9-Pikeville, conducted a traffic stop, with the driver pulling over.
The driver, later identified as Ryan Seth Selvage, 28, of Inez, was arrested after failing several sobriety tests, as well as a background check revealing a failed court appearance. Selvage was charged with DUI and for the failed court appearance.
After Ryan Selvage was taken into custody, trooper Thompson poured an additional 17 automobile and traffic charges
In all, Ryan Seth Selvage, after being booked at 4:23 P.M., was hit with a total of 19 criminal charges and violations. Those 19 charges that Selvage is facing are: #1 FAILURE TO APPEAR, #2 OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, #3 RECKLESS DRIVING, #4 OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, #5 FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, #6 NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, #7 NO REGISTRATION PLATES, #8 FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, #9 FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE, #10 FAILURE TO REGISTER TRANSFER OF MOTOR VEHICLE, #11 FAILURE TO APPEAR, #12 NO REGISTRATION PLATES, #13 FAILURE OF NON-OWNER OPERATOR TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE, #14 FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, #15 REGISTRATION & TITLE REQUIREMENTS VEHICLE NOT OPERATIONAL ON HIGHWAY #16 FAILURE TO REGISTER TRANSFER OF MOTOR VEHICLE, #17 FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, #18 OBSTRUCTED VISION AND/OR WINDSHIELD, #19 OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE.
Ryan Selvage’s arrest that resulted in the huge load of charges, may be as a result due to the fact that Selvage has a lengthy criminal past. Since July 11, 2007, exactly ten years, with his latest arrest, Ryan Selvage has been arrested 17 times on 45 charges, 14 in Johnson County, and once each in Pike, LaRue and Calloway counties, and he also did a brief stint in state prison. Of his 16 previous arrests, the majority were felonies, including several meth related charges.
