The Martin County Health Department in Inez, Ky. has announced it will be hosting a coronavirus vaccine clinic in the first week of 2021.
The vaccination drive will be held on Monday, January 4; Tuesday, January 5; and Wednesday, January 6; from 8:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., for each of the three days
Martin County Health Department Director, Steve Ward, announced on Wednesday this will be for Phase 1b, as well as anyone in Phase 1a.
Phase 1a includes health care personnel and Long-Term Care Facility (LTCF) residents. Those who are considered health care personnel are: • Hospitals, • Long-term care facilities, • Outpatient clinics, • Home health care, • Pharmacies, • Emergency medical services, • Public health.
Those considered Long Term Care Facilities are: • Skilled nursing facilities, • Assisted living facilities, • Other residential care
Phase 1b includes: Essential workers (examples: • Education Sector, • Food & Agriculture, • Utilities, • Police, • Firefighters, • .Corrections Officers, • Transportation)
