OFFICER HUNTER JAMES AND SGT. STEVE WILBURN WITH K-9 ‘KENYA’ MAKE BUST

On June 18, 2017 Officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department conducted a traffic stop for no seat belt on a 2016 Hyundai driven by Willis Gene Horn, 26 of Inez. During the course of the traffic stop it was discovered that Mr. Horn was in possession of various drug paraphernalia which included scales, baggies and syringes.
Along with the paraphernalia officers, with the assistance of LPD K-9 Unit Sgt. Wilburn and Kenya, found several baggies of methamphetamine. Mr. Horn was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Seat Belt, No Registration Receipt and Failure to produce Insurance Card. Subject was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Dentition Center.
The case will be presented to the Lawrence County Grand Jury.
