IN SEPARATE CASE, LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED IN JOHNSON COUNTY ON DRUG CHARGE AND EVIDENCE TAMPERING CHARGE

APRIL FOOL NUMBER ONE: JAMES CHRISTOPER SIZEMORE, 52, OF TOMAHAWK, KENTUCKY.
A Martin County, Kentucky and a Lawrence County, KY. man got their April Fools Day turned upside down by themselves getting fooled by law enforcement in separate cases on April 1.
In the first case, the Martin County man, who was identified as James C. Sizemore, 52, of Tomahawk, KY., was arrested by Kentucky State Police on KY. 3 in Louisa in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 1.
According to the arrest citation, KSP troopers were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint when they observed signs of impairment. The arrest citation states suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, pills, and a syringe were located during the investigation.
James Sizemore was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
*POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE);
*POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE FENTANYL;
*POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED;
*POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED);
*OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1D) – 1ST OFFENSE;
*DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
James Sizemore was subsequently later transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County, where he remains incarcerated at this time.
In the second, separate case at nearly the same time of early Wednesday morning, a Lawrence County man, who was identified as Parker McCoy, 64, of Louisa, KY., was arrested in Johnson County by officer Justin Jackson of the Paintsville Police Department.

APRIL FOOL NUMBER TWO: PARKER MCCOY, 64, OF LOUISA, KENTUCKY (MUGSHOT TAKEN IN OCTOBER 2019) .
According to the arrest citation, officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and observed Parker McCoy making movements toward the floorboard. During a search, officers located a bag containing pills identified as hydrocodone. The arrest citation states additional pills were later located hidden in Parker McCoy’s boot.
Parker McCoy was placed into custody and was charged with:
*POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE HYDROCODONE;
*TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.
Parker McCoy was subsequently later transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County, where he has since posted his bond and was released from the BSRDC jail facility.
