Marlene Ison, 65, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

Marlene was born September 9, 1958 in South Williamson, KY to the late Joseph and Floreta Curry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Douglas Ison.

Marlene was a devoted Christian and a member of Eastview Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring mother with a heart of gold.

Survivors include her children Amity (Jason) Hinkle, James Douglas (Jennifer) Ison, Brooklyn Ison, April (David) Acord, Savannah Gibson, Michelle (Steve) Wright, and Kim (Jay) Fouch; grandchildren Kaylee (Brandon) Fitch, Brittney (CJ) Hensley, Sydney (Gage) Naylor, Steve “Doodle” (Brianna) Wright, Brooklyn (Chris) Prater, Preston (Selena) Wright, Dennis Adkins, Riccilynn (Jordon) Taylor and Zach Fouch; 23 great grandchildren; sister Sharon (Hank) Starr; brothers Mark (Angie) Miller and Keith (Kathy) Miller; special friend Keith Penix; special niece Jennifer (Curtis) Workman; and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Eastview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Anthony Ison Cemetery. Friends may visit the family after 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Eastview Baptist Church.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Ison and her family.
