Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that another major drug dealer has been arrested.
Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant in the Fort Gay area after an investigation.
Sheriff Thompson stated that a safe was located in the residence and the Fort Gay Fire Department responded to open the safe.
Once inside the safe the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit seized nearly 6 pounds of Methamphetamine.
In addition a distribution quantity of Fentanyl, Cocaine, Suboxone, Marijuana, THC gummies, firearms, and nearly $10,000 cash were also seized.
Chad Salmons is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Suboxone, Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and Possession with Intent to Deliver THC gummies.
Road Patrol deputies assisted in this operation. Sheriff Thompson stated that he appreciates the Fort Gay Fire Department for being able to assist deputies in securing the evidence from the safe.
