Septemberfest has went downhill for many years in regards to the music. Does anyone seriously listen to Black Hawk? No. Laid Back should be headlining that show. He has more talent than anyone else playing, and he’s a true Lawrence County treasure.
Lead singer henry paul was in a great southern rock band THE OUTLAWS…dave robins,keybordist wrote some huge hits in the 80s and 90s before wanna be pop boy bands were allowed in country music….i like chico but as far as talent goes he isnnt on the same level as those guys….
Nobody wants to hear laid back. He may be a nice guy but his music is horrible. Why not get karaoke from a local establishment if you want real Lawrence County talent. “Has been” artist are the only thing anywhere near affordable for small towns like Louisa. I am very pleased to see Larry Sparks is coming to town. We need more traditional bluegrass for us older folks. The young folks can have the main stage and all the noise that goes with it.
