LRC hosting legislative agent workshop
FRANKFORT – The Legislative Research Commission is holding an orientation workshop on Jan. 20 for lobbyists who plan to work in Frankfort during the 2023 Regular Session of the Kentucky General Assembly.
LRC will host the event from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Room 154 of the Capitol Annex.
The session aims to assist legislative agents who are new to the General Assembly or those interested in a refresher course on the legislature’s operating procedures.
Attendees will hear presentations from legislative leaders and LRC staff on the lawmaking process, committee procedures, the LRC website and other agency services. The event will also include presentations from the Legislative Ethics Commission and a veteran lobbyist who will offer insights on the role of legislative agents.
All lobbyists are invited to attend free of charge, and pre-registration is not required. The event will not be livestreamed, but LRC plans to record the ethics presentation and post the video on the Ethics Commission’s website.
