Public Service Announcement:
As part of the City of Louisa COVID-19 response the
mayor has signed Executive Order 20-2 which will add an additional service for our city
residents. In an effort to keep seniors and those most vulnerable at home as much as
possible, starting at noon today March 24 the Louisa Police Department will deliver
medications to anyone 60 or older, those considered high risk due to underlying medical
conditions, and living within 1 mile of the city limits of Louisa.
Listed below are the guidelines on how to participate:
- Call your local pharmacy and request to have your medication delivered. The
pharmacy will contact us and schedule delivery. No need for you to contact us
directly. Please don’t call 911 for this service.
- If you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath please let the pharmacy
know so officers can be aware and prepare.
- Have your Kentucky issued photo I.D. ready and present it to the officer when he
arrives.
- All deliveries must be prepaid with the pharmacy , officers WILL NOT be accepting
payments.
Pharmacies that are participating : Louisa Drug Store, Riverview Drug, Rite Value of
Louisa, Walmart of Louisa, Walgreens of Louisa
Police Chief, Greg Fugitt, will be implementing and overseeing the program. Contact
him at 638-4050 with any special concerns. We hope this is a beneficial service to our
