This week Rotary held its weekly meeting at the First Baptist Church, its usual meeting place. The meeting began with the acknowledgment of member Kyle Sniatecki’s Birthday. He did not say how many candles he neds for his cake, however…
Visitors introduced, included one of the Rotarian Scholarship recipients, Natalie Rice and her mother. Natalie thanked the Rotarians for the scholarship. She stated that she planned to attend Eastern Kentucky University to become a speech pathologist.
“I plan to get my degree and then come back home to use it, maybe even become a Rotarian,” she quipped.
The speaker this week was Samuel D. Riddle, a staff accountant with Kelley Galloway Smith & Goolsby, PSC out of Ashland, Ky.
Riddle is a native of Louisa and after finishing his 4 years of undergraduate studiies at Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, Ky., he moved on to The University of Kentucky 
to earn his masters degree.
Riddle talked about his decision to move back home to work, stating, “I just love our small town where everyone knows everyone.”
After thanking the speaker and visitors, the meeting was adjourned until next Thursday.
