LOUISA MIDDLE VOLLEYBALL C-TEAM FINISHES RUNNER-UP IN OVC TOURNAMENT; A and B teams play Saturday

Louisa, Ky. — It was 8th grade night for Louisa Middle School Volleyball on Monday and the Dawgs took 2 out 3 from Fairview. 

2025 LMS 8th Graders

On Saturday the LMS C Team finished runner up in the OVC tournament falling to Ashland in the Championship game. 
 
Kenzie Slone, Heather Smith, Molly Crum, Addy Jordan, Amie Chicko, Madalyn Blankenship, Ava Vanhoose, Carmella Chicko and Macy Hughes 
Sitting in chairs Ava Smith and McKeeley Patrick 
Ava Smith and McKeeley Patrick  both got injured in the final championship game in the 2nd set. 

 

The C team was the 2nd seed in the OVC tournament on Saturday May 3rd and it was a double elimination format. 
In the first game of the tournament the Dawgs beat the Russell Red Devils. 
 
In the second game of the tournament they pinned the first loss of the season on Ashland in a three set thriller. 
 
Ashland came back out of the losers bracket and beat the Dawgs in two consecutive matches to win the tournament. 
The Squad will finish the regular season with a trip to Fairview on Thursday night. 
The OVC A and B team Tournaments will be Saturday May 10th at Ashland Paul Blazer High School. 
 
The A team will be the #5 seed and play #4 seed East Carter at 12:15. 
 
 
 
 
The B team will be the #6 seed and play #3 seed East Carter at 9:15. 
Both tournaments are Single Elimination
