One of my favorite times of year is fixing the planters for the city.
The weather has been a battle this year to work around as well as the other weekly obligations the guys have such as getting the pool ready for the summer season, mowing and just regular maintenance jobs that they have to do weekly.
But, by the end of today, we will have all these beautiful planters fixed. I really think these planters are such a welcoming thing for not only our local people but visitors. The flowers we choose always last until frost and we always do red, yellows and oranges so that it fits for the summer and fall season.
I absolutely love our little town and I’m so proud of it. It was so nice to see lots of bustling and activity in the downtown area this morning.
I think we are definitely the Gem of the big Sandy.

On a sidenote, the Louisa City Pool is absolutely gorgeous and open for the summer season!!! It has been filled to capacity almost every day, which makes me so happy. I think it is such a great asset for the children and the families of our community!! So, if you’re looking for something to do on a pretty day this summer, check out the pool because I think you would really love it!!!

A big thank you to Harold, Marsha and the city workers for beautifying our downtown! The flowers are definitely welcoming and make our town look so vibrant. I love our town as well and love to see it being cared for. Susie Chambers
If it comes from Farmhouse Memories, it’s a major conflict of interest. Also unethical.
