LOUISA MAN ARRESTED IN FT. GAY AFTER SECOND POLICE CHASE IN PAST TWO MONTHS

Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that a suspect was arrested after two vehicle pursuits in less than two months.

 

Joseph ‘Jojo’ McCoy

Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit attempted to stop a vehicle to arrest the driver for a felony warrant on WV Rt 37. The driver, Joseph ‘Jojo’ McCoy of Louisa, accelerated around the cruiser and fled south on US Rt 52 at a high rate of speed.

Joseph lost control of his vehicle at the Fort Gay traffic light and crashed into the guard rail. Joseph was taken into custody and is charged with felony fleeing in a vehicle.

Joseph had a warrant for felony fleeing in a vehicle from another pursuit in the Fort Gay area on July 31st. Misdemeanor charges are pending on the passenger of the vehicle.
