LOUISA, Ky. , Dec. 3, 2025 — A Louisa man was arrested for assaulting his Dad during a reported drunken argument between the two men.
According to arrest reports in Sheriff Chuck Jackson’s office, Alex Price, 25, of the same residence, Three-D Rd., as his Dad, Richard Price, fought with the older man causing a minor cut on his eyebrow. He was not arrested. A deputy from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept. described the arrest in his report below.

Charge 1: ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY
“… On the above date and time I responded to 366 Three D Rd in reference to a physical altercation between Alex and Richard Price. When I arrived on scene I spoke with the above subject, Alex Price. He stated that his father was angry because he had taken his phone. He stated that he was sitting in the living room the entire time. He stated that he never struck his father and their argument was never physical. He stated to me that his father was an alcoholic and was abusive to him. It was apparent to me that Alex was also under the influence of alcohol.
“…I then detained Alex in my patrol vehicle while I went to the neighbors to speak with Richard Price. When I made contact with him I observed his left eyebrow split open and he had a trail of blood from his eyebrown down under his eyelid.
Richard appeared to be very intoxicated and could barely speak to give me a statement. He was actively drinking as he was speaking to me.
Using his hands to explain the incident, he advised that he was in his bedroom watching YouTube when Alex entered the room and punched him for no reason. Given his state of intoxication, this was the only information he was able to give me. The neighbors who he was sitting with also advised that Alex had assaulted his father multiple times in the past.”
