Louisa City Government
Our city pool is ready to open with some improvements!
In the last 2 years we have replaced all the dilapidated concrete around the pool which was creating a safety concern due to cracks and standing water.
Our diving boards have been upgraded replacing the original 52 year old ones.
We want to thank our city crews for all the hard work each year getting the pool open. We want to thank the city council past and present for supporting the city pool here are some facts.
Value Beyond the Water
- Health and Safety
- For many children, the local pool is a great introduction to exercise and can be one measure against childhood obesity.
- Local pools are also where most people learn to swim.
- Quality of Life and Inclusion
- Community pools provide opportunities other than water sports. They also host parties, camps, and other activities and gatherings.
- Pools are a place where families and individuals of all ages are welcome, including persons with disabilities.
Jobs, Property Values, and Tourism
Pools attract visitors from inside and outside the city for recreational uses, events, competitions, and more. They provide great “first jobs” for hundreds of Kentuckians annually as lifeguards, concessions staff, grounds staff, administrative workers, and more. Pools also add property value to their neighborhoods.
Do you have jobs for welcoming people
City residents it should be free
Spoken like a true Democrat KEGS. Everything FREE.
DA the city residents pay for the city pool TAXES
You must think it just suddenly appeared out of thin air
Hint DA that’s why they call it the City Pool paid by the residents of the city
No wonder Trump said he loves the poorly uneducated
Hummm lets see. Louisa City Pool, city residents should get in free because they pay city taxes. OK, so you should get free city water, city sewage and city trash pickup. Run that by the city council KEGS. Whos the real DA? Illegal immigrants might get free admission to YOUR pool KEGS.
Keeping it real don’t think we should get free water or sewer but do believe non city residents should pay a lot more than they do now to make up for the city kids so they can swim in the city pool.
