Alice Lloyd College has only played men’s soccer for one season and Logan has a chance to help build something just like he did at Lawrence Co. for the last four years.
Southers helped the SoccerDawgs to four District championships, 45 wins and one state tournament appearance.
Logan also kicked extra points for the Bulldog football team and went 34 of 35 this past season.

“… One of the biggest things was knowing a lot of the soccer team. Also it isn’t too far from home. The cost of the college was also a big point of attraction.”
“… Well, I’ve played under Coach Johnson since elementary school so in that time I’ve been able to not only become a solid player but more importantly he helped me become who I am today. There were times I wouldn’t have been able to make it to practices if it wasn’t for him. Overall you just can’t ask for a better coach to have played under for so long.”
“… Football helped me a lot by giving me another perspective as far as sports go and playing football for coach short was a great experience because as the years went I was able to see a level of trust develop in me as a kicker which is a position that typically isn’t used much here at Lawrence Co.”
“… I want to thank my family, coach Johnson, all my previous teammates, Lawrence County High School and Alice Lloyd College for this opportunity.”

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… It was a milestone event for LCHS BOYS Soccer today as we signed our first player to a collegiate team. Logan helped to build this high school team when we started it and will be able to help ALice Lloyd develop their program which has only been around one season. It is great that he gets to continue the sport he has put so much time into and pursue higher education. Our team is so proud of him and we can’t wait to take a trip to Pippa Passes and watch him play!”

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Very fortunate for us to have crossed paths with Logan Southers. We knew that football was going to be his secondary sport, but he continued to work hard and became a valuable weapon for us in the kicking game. This past season he was 34-35 on PAT.”
“… Logan is the type of young man that makes the people around him better. He will be successful in whatever avenues he pursues.”
