MORE THAN 60 DRUG BUSTS IN FIRST 6 MONTHS IN OFFICE

The Wayne County Sheriff Rick Thompson announced earlier today that the US Marshal’s CUFFED Task Force Unit arrested 3 suspects for drug warrants after investigations conducted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Drug Enforcement Unit.
Maria Thompson, was arrested in the Fort Gay area and is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a controlled substance and Conspiracy.
Casandra “Cassie” Roberts, 33 was also arrested in the Fort Gay area. Roberts is being charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver (Crystal Methamphetamine) and Pseudoephedrine Altered. There are more charges pending on Roberts.
James “Justin” Ratcliff was arrested in Lawrence County Kentucky in the Louisa area and is charged with Aiding and Abetting in the delivery of a controlled substance and Conspiracy. Sheriff Thompson expressed his appreciation of the CUFFED Unit which one of his deputies is assigned to for their assistance in the arrests.
Also, earlier this week the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Corey Frazier in the Fort Gay area of Wayne County and he has been charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver (Crystal Methamphetamine), Pseudoephedrine Altered, and Conspiracy. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Road Patrols assisted in the arrest of Frazier.
Sheriff Thompson states that additional Felony Arrest Warrants have been issued following investigations by the Drug Enforcement Unit and arrests are expected soon. Their diligence and hard work is paying off with the arrests made this week push the number of Felony Drug Arrests to over 60 for the 2017 Calendar Year.
