Two local students (William McDavid and Mitchell Frazier) recently represented Lawrence county football in the All-American Bowl Series in Miami Florida. The All-American Bowl Series is the biggest invitation-only youth and high school football event in the world.
The two football players were selected from thousands of players to represent the eastern United States in their respective age groups. Both players participated in a “3 Star” try-out football camp located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Will McDavid played at outside linebacker for AA-10 and led his 14 U All-Star team in tackles. Mitchell Frazier played both running back and defensive back for AA3, a collection of All-Stars in the 10/11U age group.
Both players performed at Hard Rock Stadium and their games were televised. Previous players in this championship include Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton, and several other professional football stars.
Players are hand-selected from summer camps and these teams are the product of intense pre-season scouting from hundreds of Offense-Defense coaching personnel. Mitchell and Will were selected as outstanding performers in the regional bowl and are invited to play in the National All-American Championship hosted at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on April 24th – 27th.
