LC FISCAL COURT APPROVES STATE ADVANCEMENT FOR COUNTY CLERK IN SPECIAL MEETING

The Lawrence County Fiscal Court had a Special Meeting on Friday January 9, 2026 at the Lawrence County Courthouse, 122 S. Main Cross Street, Downtown, 2nd Floor, Louisa, Kentucky 41230.  LC Judge Executive Phillip Carter was in attendance along with the LC Magistrates David Pinson, Rick Blackburn, Michael Mouse Holcomb and John Scaggs.

APPROVE DUMP TRUCK LEASE RESOLUTION 

The Truck Lease Resolution was unanimously passed with a Motion by Rick Blackburn and seconded by Michael Mouse Halcomb. LC Judge Carter said, “This will take place in March 2026.”

APPROVE TO AMEND CLERKS 2026 BUDGET

LC Clerk Chris Jobe said, “We are asking for State Advancement to adjust the budget to reflect $30,000.”

THERE WAS NO FURTHER DISCUSSION. Motion by David Pinson and seconded by Rick Blackburn. None Opposed.

APPROVE STATE ADVANCEMENT FOR COUNTY CLERK

The Court unanimously approved the State Advancement for County Clerk with a Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb and seconded by David Pinson.

  4. Approve Truck Lease Resolution – Motion by Rick Blackburn 2nd by Michael Mouse Halcomb. None Opposed. Roll Call.
  5. Approve to Amend Clerks 2026 Budget – Motion by David Pinson 2nd by Rick Blackburn. None Opposed. Roll Call.
  6. Approve State Advancement for County Clerk – Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb 2nd by David Pinson.  None Opposed. Roll Call.
  7. Adjourn – Motion by Rick Blackburn 2nd by Michael Mouse Halcomb.

The next Regular Scheduled Meeting will be held on Tuesday January 20, 2026 at 10AM at the Lawrence County Courthouse.
