    Phil Carter in the bag
    Spradlin, ain’t happening
Preston, good fire chief, would direct all the money he could there.
Blackburn, only wants it because of the fair. He’s cares about nothing else. Would be a bad choice.

Sheriff, Give Wheeler a chance. Good guy.
    Coroner, Moore

Wheeler was a democrat, he switched parties because he couldn’t get elected last time, also he left this county and went and worked in Boyd because again he didn’t get elected. He too temperamental and emotional to be sheriff.

Lol…..let the fun begin! Didn’t take long for Dirty Dog to show up!

1 — As stated by someone else “Jackson was a registered democrat for YEARS until he switched to republican to run the first time.” — Didn’t seem to bother Jackson to switch. You reckon Wheeler, like SO MANY other prior registered democrats, changed because the parties priorities have changed so much.

2 — “also he left this county and went and worked in Boyd” — Probably need to get facts straight before spouting off. The truth is that Jackson fired Wheeler, guess Jackson shouldn’t have trusted some people he told, and did not keep him or offer job so what was Wheeler supposed to do. So evidently Wheeler didn’t leave on his own but needed a job. Amazing thing is from information out there is Wheeler has been an asset to Boyd County and has done great things there. Sure is a shame Lawrence County missed out!

3 — “He too temperamental and emotional to be sheriff.” — That is SO laughable. Seems Wheeler has backbone, doesn’t sugar coat things for votes and does what needs done. You or someone you know must have been on the “doesn’t matter who you are” and” gonna do what’s right and my job” side of Wheeler!

There’s a difference between doing what needs done and being so overbearing that no one wants to work with them. Why would Jackson want to keep someone like that?

Your comment doesn’t make much sense. Chuck Jackson was from Weat Virginia.
