LOUISA, KY. A Louisa man was arrested by the Lawrence Co. Sheriff’s deputy by deputy J. Osborne on March 13, 2025 on marijuana charges while serving an indictment on John Rice.
Rice was arrested that evening for an outstanding warrant which included charges of possession of meth 1st degree, poss. of marijuana, failure to produce insurance proof, and rear license not illuminated. But Rice didn’t show for court thus the warrant.
Deputies went to his house at 8:15 pm to serve the previous warrant.
Then Deputy Osborne wrote the following arrest report:
“… On the above date and time while serving an indictment warrant on the above subject, a bag of marijuana was observed in plain view on the kitchen table as well as a marijuana grinder. When we went towards the back bedroom to inform the above subject’s uncle that he was being placed under arrest, I also observed burnt marijuana roaches on the bedside table.
