Lawrence County Grand Jury handed down 30 indictments on November 10. Most have several indictments on multiple charges including attempted murder on a police officer. Paul Tipton intentionally attempted to cause the death of Trooper Dustin Thompson with the Kentucky State Police and Officer Brian Runyons with the Paintsville Police Department by discharging a handgun at him, the GJ reports out.

Paul Tipton committed the offense of criminal mischief in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully damaging property owned and operated by the Paintsville Police Department with damages to the motor vehicle exceeding $1,000.
