LAWRENCE COUNTY, KY. GRAND JURY ISSUES 13 INDICTMENTS

A Lawrence Co., Ky. grand jury issued charges last week with drug offenses making up the majority of indictments which also include Strangulation and Burglary cases. A charge by a grand jury is not proof of guilt or innocence.

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS ROBIN SHEPHERD

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before February 13th, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Robin Shepherd committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.

2. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of two (2) glass smoking pipes.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS SHARI MARCUM

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before April 14th, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. S committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.

2. The above-named defendant committed the offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol/ Drugs First (1st) Offense or Greater Within Five (5) Years by operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle.

3.The above-named defendant committed the offense of Possession/ Use Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a glass pipe.

4.The above-named defendant committed the offense of Failure to Wear Seatbelt by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle without having a seatbelt properly adjusted and fastened.

5. The above-named defendant committed the violation of Inadequate Silencer by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway with an improper or inadequate silencer and/or muffler as defined in KRS: 189.140.
6. The above-named defendant committed the violation of Improper Equipment by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without properly working equipment as required and defined in KRS: 189.140.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS EDDIE H. KENNEDY

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before August 11th, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Eddie H. Kennedy committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.

2. Eddie H. Kennedy committed the offense of Tampering With Physical Evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that she believed would be used against her in an official proceeding.

3. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol/ Drugs First (1st) Offense or Greater Within Five (5) Years by operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle.

4. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Possession/ Use Drug Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a glass vile/ tube.

5. The above-named defendant committed the violation of No/ Registration Receipt by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without proper registration plates as defined in KRS: 186.170.

6. The above-named defendant committed the violation of No Registration Plates by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without proper registration plates as defined in KRS: 186.170.

7. The above-named defendant committed the violation of Improper Equipment by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without properly working equipment as
189.140.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS PAUL A. WATTS

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before March 18th, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Paul A. Watts committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.

2. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of two (2) syringes.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS BRIAN KEVIN BECKETT

The Grand Jury charges: That from October 25th, 2025, through November 12th, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Brian Kevin Beckett committed the offense of Burglary in the Third (3rd) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering and remaining in a building owned and operated by Addiction Recovery Care Maintenance (Scott Robinson), with the intent to commit the crime of theft therein.

2. Brian Kevin Beckett committed the offense of Burglary in the Third (3rd) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering and remaining in a building owned and operated by Addiction Recovery Care Maintenance (Scott Robinson), with the intent to commit the crime of theft therein.

3. Brian Kevin Beckett committed the offense of Tampering With Physical Evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against her/him in an official proceeding.

4. Brian Kevin Beckett committed the offense of Tampering With Physical Evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against her/him in an official proceeding.

5. Brian Kevin Beckett committed the offense of Tampering With Physical Evidence by Evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against her/him in an official proceeding.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS KENNITH PACK

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before March 12th, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Kennith Pack committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.

2. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol/ Drugs First (1st) Offense or Greater Within Five (5) Years by operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle.

3. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Possession/ Use Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a glass pipe.

4. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Failure to Wear Seatbelt by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle without having a seatbelt properly adjusted and fastened.

5. The above-named defendant committed the violation of Failure To Produce Insurance Card by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without an Insurance Card as defined and required in KRS: 304.39-117.

6. The above-named defendant committed the violation of No/ Registration Receipt by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without proper registration plates as defined in KRS: 186.170.

7. The above-named defendant committed the violation of No Registration Plates by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without proper registration plates as defined in KRS: 186.170.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS CHRISTIAN CUNNINGHAM

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before April 14th, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Christian Cunningham committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.

2. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Failure to Wear Seatbelt by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle without having a seatbelt properly adjusted and fastened.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS JUSTIN MCCOY

The Grand Jury charges: That on November 2nd, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Justin McCoy committed the offense of Strangulation in the Second (2nd) Degree by wantonly, without consent, impedes the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of another, applying pressure to the throat or neck of another, or by blocking the nose or mouth of another person, namely Shelby Parsons, of Louisa, KY.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS JUSTIN MCCOY

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before September 25th, 2025, in Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Justin McCoy committed the offense of Wanton Endangerment in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in conduct that creates substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person, namely Dakota Adkins of Louisa, KY.

2. Justin McCoy committed the offense of Criminal Mischief in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully damaging property, namely a 2005 Ford Focus, owned by Dakota Adkins of Louisa, KY, with an estimate of the damages at approximately $2,200.00.

3. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Accident -Failure Leaving Scene To render Aid by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle that was involved in an accident, with another, and he failed to stop and ascertain the extent of any injuries and render reasonable assistance.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS ELIZABETH GREEN

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before September 25th, 2025, Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Elizabeth Green committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) Degree by of a knowingly and unlawfully being in possession Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.

2. Elizabeth Green committed the offense of Tampering With Physical Evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that she believed would be used against her in an official proceeding.

3. The above-named above-named defendant committed the offense Possession/ Use Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a glass pipe.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS JASMINE BOND

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before September 25th, 2025, Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Jasmine Bond acting alone or in complicity with Brian Wolford committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Controlled Substance, namely Methamphetamine.

2. Jasmine Bond acting alone or in complicity with Brian Wolford committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Schedule I narcotic, namely 11.231 grams of Fentanyl.

3. Jasmine Bond committed the offense of Tampering With Physical Evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that she believed would be used against her in an official proceeding.

4. Jasmine Bond committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second (2nd) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a scheduled II narcotic, Buprenorphine (Hydrocodone).

5. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Possession/ Use Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a glass pipe.

6. The above-named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Brian Wolford committed the offense of Possession of Marijuana by knowingly or unlawfully possessing marijuana.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS DOUGLAS BREWER

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before September 28th, 2025, Lawrence County Kentucky, and before the finding finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Douglas Brewer committed the offense of Assault in the Second (2nd) Degree when he intentionally caused serious physical injury to another person, namely Suzanne Karuegar-Brewer of Louisa, KY.

2. Douglas Brewer committed the offense of Assault in the Second (2nd) Degree when he intentionally caused serious physical injury to another person, namely M. P., a juvenile child.

3. Douglas Brewer committed the offense of Assault in the Second (2nd) Degree when he intentionally caused serious physical injury to another person, namely D.P., juvenile child.

4. Douglas Brewer committed the offense of Criminal Mischief in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully damaged property, namely an Apple I-Phone, owned by Suzanne Karuegar-Brewer.

 

COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY VS BRIAN WOLFORD

The Grand Jury charges: That on or before September 25th, 2025, in Lawrence County County Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:

1. Brian Wolfrod acting alone or in complicity with Jasmine Bond committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Controlled Substance, namely Methamphetamine.

2. Brian Wolford acting alone or in complicity with Jasmine Bond committed the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First (1st) (1st) Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a Schedule I narcotic, namely 11.231 grams of Fentanyl.

3. Brian Wolford committed the offense of Tampering With Physical Evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that she believed would be used against her in an official proceeding.

4. The above-named defendant committed the offense of Possession/ Use Drug Paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a glass pipe.

5. The above-named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Jasmine Bond committed the offense of Possession of by knowingly or unlawfully possessing marijuana.

6. The above-named defendant committed the violation of Rear License Not Illuminated by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle on a Kentucky roadway without proper rear license not properly illuminated as defined in KRS: 186.170.
