FROM 12:00 A.M., JUNE 16, 2025, THRU TO 11:59 P.M., JUNE 22, 2024, (7 DAYS); AT LEAST 49 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES, AND OTHER COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, KY., IN JOHNSON COUNTY.
OUT OF THOSE 49 ARRESTS, 14 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. THREE (3) LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN A NEIGHBORING COUNTY; TWO IN JOHNSON COUNTY AND ONE PIKE COUNTY.

Segar Tracy Adkins, 26, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County, KY., on June 17, 2025, at 3:17 A.M., by trooper Billy Hall of the Kentucky State Police-Post 9-Pikeville; and was charged with: • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL < 21 YEARS OF AGE .02-.07, • DRIVING DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE – 1ST OFFENSE (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES), • FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/ SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE.

Brandie Hale, 39, of Louisa, Kentucky; was taken into custody on June 17, 2025, at 4:23 P.M.,by sergeant detective Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Amanda L. Moore, 41, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; was arrested on June 17, 2025, at 4:25 P.M.,by trooper Dallas Salyers of the Kentucky State Police,& was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS $500 < $1,000.
Ralph Justin Evans, 34, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on June 17, 2025, at 6:34 P.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 441, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; was arrested on June 17, 2025, at 4:25 P.M., by trooper Dallas Salyers of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: •TH DEGREE (MINOR INJURY).
