EIGHT PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY IN THE PAST SIX DAY PERIOD. ANOTHER TWO LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES, (ONE IN BOYD COUNTY, AND ONE IN JOHNSON COUNTY).
THE NAMES AND CRIMINAL CHARGES OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS ARE THE FOLLOWING:
Shelly M. Triplett, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on December 13, 2017, at 8:03 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.
Jason Jacobs, 43, of Ashland, Kentucky; was arrested on December 14, 2017, at 12:42 P.M., by trooper Craig Morella of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • SPEEDING 26 MPH OR > SPEED LIMIT, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, • FAILURE TO SURRENDER REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE.
Kristen Shelton, 27, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on December 14, 2017, at 4:15 P.M., by sergeant deputy Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500, • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).
Shelton’s bond was set at $750.
Jeremy Vanover Jr., 40, of Louisa, was arrested on December 14, 2017, at 11:26 P.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIME, • PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II, • THEFT OF SERVICES.
Vanover’s bond was set at $25,248; Vanover is still lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville as of Tuesday afternoon December 19.
Eugene Cochran, 29, of Louisa, was arrested on December 15, 2017, at 1:00 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/ DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.
Lillian N. Perry, 37, of Louisa, was arrested on December 15, 2017, at 10:44 P.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • KNOW FRAUDULENTLY USE ID CARD OR ELECTRONIC CODE FOR BENEFITS ( 2 SEPARATE CHARGE COUNTS ).
Verlin K Bryant, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on December 16, 2017, at 10:21 A.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD.
Richard Robertson, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on December 18, 2017, at 11:07 A.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE.
Joe E. Gilliam, 53, of Martha, Kentucky; was taken into custody and booked in Johnson County on December 15, 2017, at 5:29 P.M., by deputy Rohr of the Johnson County Sheriff Department, to served a guiltily plea sentence: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Sheridan J. Frazier, 25, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County on December 18, 2017, at 12:42 P.M., by trooper Craig Morella of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • SPEEDING 11 MPH OVER LIMIT, • ONE HEADLIGHT, • POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED, • FAILURE TO NOTIFY ADDRESS CHANGE TO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
