OUT OF THE 62 INMATES BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE FROM 12:01 A.M. APRIL 25 THRU 11:59 P.M. APRIL 30, 11 OF THEM WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY, OF WHICH 5 WERE FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO TURNED THEMSELVES IN FOR CONTEMPT GUILTY PLEA JAIL SENTENCES.
AND THERE WAS ALSO A SPIKE IN THE NUMBER OF INMATES BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE OVER THE WEEKEND. ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON APRIL 29, THERE WERE 282 INMATES BEING HOUSED AT THE BSRDC, A FACILITY DESIGNED TO HOLD A DESIGNED MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 225 INMATES. BY 7 P.M. MONDAY MAY 1, THAT NUMBER WAS BACK DOWN TO 262 INMATES.
THE NAMES OF THE ELEVEN MOST RECENT LAWRENCE COUNTY ARRESTS IN THE LAST SIX DAYS ARE THE FOLLOWING:
Lowell Justin Maynard, 28, of Louisa, was arrested on April 25, 2017 at 11:56 A.M., by the Lawrence County Court, and was charged via a grand jury indictment: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • THEFT BY DECEPTION-INCLUDE COLD CHECKS UNDER/$500, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.
Joshua Lee Ratliff, 34, of Louisa, turned himself in on April 26, 2017 at 2:10 P.M to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail time sentence for: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Alexis P. Carter, 27, of Louisa, turned herself in on April 26, 2017 at 2:22 P.M to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail time sentence for: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Stacy D. Horn-Childers, 34, of Louisa, turned herself in on April 26, 2017 at 2:26 P.M to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail time sentence for: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Arlene Falestead, 46, of Louisa, was arrested on April 26, 2017, at 2:30 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500,• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-2ND DEGREE.
Travis A. Cordle, 31, of Louisa, turned himself in on April 26, 2017 at 2:33 P.M to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail time sentence for: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

William D. Curtis, 32, of Louisa, was arrested on April 27, 2017, at 5:23 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.
Joshua Andrews, 29, of Louisa, was arrested on April 29, 2017, at 3:33 A.M., by trooper Bradley Couch, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL, • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • RESIDENTS NOT TO USE LICENSE OF OTHER STATES, • FAILURE TO NOTIFY ADDRESS CHANGE TO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
Jo Ann Adkins, 43, of Louisa, was arrested on April 29, 2017, at 5:00 A.M., by trooper Bradley Couch, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 (AGGRAVATED CIRCUMSTANCE) 1ST OFFENSE, • FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL, • POSSESSION OF OPEN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITED, • RESIDENTS NOT TO USE LICENSE OF OTHER STATES.
