Langley, Ky. — Lawrence Co. ( 21-5 ) finished 58th District play undefeated after a 91-70 victory over Floyd Central ( 13-10 ) Tuesday night.
Andrew Bloomfield started for the injured Tyler Johnson and led the Dawgs in scoring with 19 points.
The Bulldogs finished 6-0 in 58th District action and will be the #1 seed in the upcoming tournament held at Floyd Central.
Lawrence Co. had five in double figures led Andrew Bloomfield with 19 points, Trenton Adkins 17 points, Cody Maynard netted 16 points, Kaden Gillispie added 13 points, Dawson Bellomy had 12 points, Will Lafferty finished with 9 points, Blake Marcum 3 points and Logan Ratliff 2 points.
Kaden Gillispie scored 13 points Tuesday night.
The Dawgs hit 4 three pointers and went 9 of 11 from the foul line.
The Jaguars finished 2-4 in District play and will be the #3 seed in the tournament.
Floyd Central was led by Ronnie Sammons with 18 points, Eric Burke 16 points, Braden Moore 14 points, Dawson Moore 7 points, Tanner Hall 5 points, Brody Buck 4 points, Conner Hopkins and Cole Lafferty 3 points each.
The Jaguars hit 5 three pointers and went 3 of 3 from the foul line.

The Dawgs will be off until Tuesday against Johnson Central for Senior night. Host Raceland and Martin Co. on Wednesday and Friday.

“… Very proud of our guys for going to Floyd Central and finishing the regular season undefeated in district play. We had several guys step up and play well, and we will need to continue to do that with Tyler Johnson being out. Prayers for him as he goes into surgery Wednesday morning.”
“… We have three home games left beginning with Senior night against Johnson Central on Tuesday followed by Raceland on Wednesday and Martin Co. on Friday. All three will be tough.”
