Louisa, Ky. — The Lawrence County Bulldogs opened up football practice bright and early Monday morning at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium.

The Bulldogs will have a new starting quarterback with Junior Mitchell Frazier and Freshman Mikey Artrip battling it out after Luke Fetherolf graduated.
A loaded Senior class that is led by Kaden Johnson, Ty Brooks, Carlo Chicko, Caven Williams, Cameron Castle, Colbie Prince, Maddox Dancer, along with Juniors Gray Derifield, Chandler Preece and Hayden Thomas should ease the transition for the new QB1.
The offensive line should be a strength for the Dawgs heading into 2026

Upperclassman will lead the way on the Dawgs interior led by Ty Brooks, Colbie Prince, Maddox Dancer, Hayden Thomas and Beau Blair.
Lawrence County head coach Alan Short who is going into his 11th season at the helm of his alma mater is fired up for the season to begin with an experienced group who has a chance to be really good come playoff time.

The Bulldogs will open the season at Home versus neighboring Martin Co. on August 21st. The two teams opened the season last year in Inez with the Dawgs prevailing 35-7.
