A Louisa woman, originally from Martin County, Kentucky, was killed in a vehicle accident over the New Years weekend not far from Lexington in Fayette County, Kentucky.
According to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, Savannah D. Rose, 32, of Louisa was identified as the victim killed in Fayette County as a result of a car crash Saturday morning, December 30.
Rose was reportedly a passenger in a pickup truck that left the roadway and flipped over on Interstate 64, just before 8 A.M. Saturday morning, in the westbound lanes near mile marker 84.
The roadway was closed after the crash, and was eventually reopened by 10:30 A.M.
The driver of the pickup truck, who was not identified, was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
Funeral arrangements for Savannah Rose are being handled by Crum Funeral home in Inez, Kentucky. Donations for Rose’s funeral expenses can be made to the funeral home.
Savannah Dannielle Rose – Marcum
Savannah Dannielle Rose – Marcum, age 32, of Inez, KY, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Fayette Co., KY.
She was born September 4, 1985 in Paintsville, KY, to Kenneth Ray Rose and Lucille Maynard Rose of Inez, KY.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Gracie Maynard and her grandfather, Jesse Maynard.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Travis Marcum of Louisa, KY, one son, Shawn Alan Marcum of Louisa, KY, one daughter, Kendra Renay Marcum of Louisa, KY, one brother, Alan Rose of Inez, KY and several aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Vineyard United Baptist Church. Edsel Rose and Michael Marcum will officiate.
Friends may visit after 6 PM on Monday until time of services at the church. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery of Inez, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be made to the Crum Funeral Home.
