Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence County Golf is off to a good start this season even though the weather hasn’t exactly cooperated. Both teams have a record number of golfers out this season.
2017 Lawrence Co. Golf team
The Boys and Girls have both played well with the Boys winning three out of four matches to begin the season. They swept Boyd Co. and split with Fairview. Juniors Hunter Goble, Noah Fairchild and Lincoln Ross have led the way.
The Girls have split two matches so far. Gaining a win over Fairview and falling to Raceland. Sophomore’s Darby Chapman and McKenzie Goble have led the girls.
Both teams will have home matches with the Girls facing off with Fairview tonight and the Boys hosting Belfry Monday.

“… There are 20 golfers out this season navigating the Links for the Dawgs. A lot of new faces that have played really well. The rain has played havoc with the schedule so far with several matches being washed out.”
