Charleston, S.C. — With a 64-53 victory over Morgantown ( W. Va. ) the Lawrence Co. Girls ( 9-3 ) captured the Carolina Invitational Tournament title on Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs went 3-0 in the Cooper River Bracket.

In the title game against the biggest school in West Virginia the Dawgs came away with the comeback victory to capture the championship.
Kensley Feltner was named MVP of the tournament.
Kensley Feltner led the Dawgs with 27 points, Sophie Adkins tallied 14 points, Kaison Ward hit 3 three pointers for her 9 points, Leandra Curnutte netted 7 points, Abby Maynard 4 points, Emmalee Holt 3 points.
The Dawgs hit 7 three pointers and went 15 of 17 from the free throw line.

In the Semifinals on Thursday Lawrence Co. started fast and cruised to the victory.
Kensley Feltner had 19 points and 9 rebounds to propel the Dawgs to victory, Kaison Ward tallied 11 points, Sophie Adkins 10 points and 8 rebounds, Leandra Curnutte 8 points and 5 rebounds, Jada Patton added 5 points, Emmalee Holt had 3 points, Brylee Stafford and Caroline See had 2 points each, Madison Artrip and Abby Maynard had 1 point each.
The Dawgs hit 4 three pointers and went 16 of 21 from the foul line.

The Bulldogs opened the tournament with a hard fought victory on Wednesday.
Kensley Feltner had 41 points and 16 rebounds to the the way, Kaison Ward tallied 11 points and 5 rebounds, Sophie Adkins 6 points and 6 rebounds, Abby Nelson added 5 points, Leandra Curnutte chipped in with 2 points.
The Dawgs hit 3 three pointers and went 18 of 30 from the charity strip.
The Dawgs will return to action on Tuesday in the Class 2A Section tournament versus Belfry at Floyd Central.
