COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Extremely proud of our girls effort this week. I felt they played with high energy on both sides of the ball. We traveled to Magoffin earlier in the week and played a young team. I still felt we were able to control the tempo and play the style we want to. We finished on Friday night with Johnson Central. They have had our number the last few years. It was great to come out and be able to play the way we did. I really liked our defensive effort and it’s awesome to see our girls all able to contribute offensively. It was a great double header with our boys and we appreciate all the support. Great Friday night atmosphere for basketball.”
“… We have a tough week ahead. We travel Tuesday to Shelby valley, who just won the WYMT classic, play our first seeded district game against Prestonsburg on Thursday and finish up with Pike central Friday night. Weeks like this will keep preparing us and helping us get better.”
