DUE TO OVERCROWDING AT THE BSRDC. JAIL INMATE POPULATION COUNT WENT FROM HIGH 280s IN LATE MARCH TO THE LOW 260s OVER THE PAST WEEKEND, BUT BACK UP TO 271 INMATES AS OF 7 A.M. WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5, 2017.
THERE WERE 30 ARREST SUBJECTS BROUGHT TO THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE IN THE FIRST FOUR DAYS OF APRIL, AS COMPARED TO 79 ARREST SUBJECTS IN THE LAST SEVEN DAYS OF MARCH. THERE WERE JUST OVER 385 TOTAL ARREST BOOKINGS AT BSRDC FOR THE WHOLE MONTH OF MARCH.
STICKY FINGERS SYNDROME RETURNS, AS SIX OF THOSE NINE ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY (2/3 TOTAL), HAD MISDEMEANOR SHOPLIFTING CHARGES SLAPPED ON THEM.
THOSE 9 ARRESTS LISTED BELOW ARE THE FOLLOWING:
Albert Horn, 46, of Inez, Kentucky; turned himself in on March 27, 2017 at 12:17 P.M to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve jail time for: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Brian A. Roop, 31, of Louisa, was arrested on March 27, 2017, at 6:56 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.
Candi L. Sawyers, 35, of Pikeville, Kentucky; was arrested on March 28, 2017, at 4:09 P.M., by Chief Greg Fugittof the Louisa Police Department and was charged with: • NON PAYMENT OF FINES (OUT OF PIKE COUNTY, KENTUCKY), • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.
On March 29, 2017, Candi L. Sawyers was taken into custody by deputy Deskins of the Pike County Sheriff Department and was transferred to the Pike County Detention Center on Pikeville, on the non payment of fines charge, and her bond was set at $441, the total exact amount of Sawyers fines.
Lejeana Parsons, 28, of Kermit, West Virginia; was arrested on March 28, 2017, at 6:35 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.
Billy Keeton, 29, Blaine, Kentucky was taken into custody on March 29, 2017, at 7:33 P.M., by trooper Craig Morella, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • CRIMINAL ABUSE 1ST DEGREE-CHILD 12 OR UNDER.
Michael D. Blankenship, of Louisa, was arrested on March 30, 2017, at 8:52 P.M., by Chief Greg Fugittof the Louisa Police Department and was charged with: • TRAFFICKING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WITHIN 1,000 FEET OF SCHOOL, • UNLAWFUL TRANSACTION WITH/MINOR 3RD DEGREE, • TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.
Sheena M. Branham, 33, of Louisa, was arrested on March 31, 2017, at 11:24 A.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.
