Martin County Grand Jury met February 3, 2022 and was able to issue several indictments.  Elyonna, Braxton, and Garry Lafferty were all charged with theft by unlawful taking with the intent to deprive The Martin County Housing Authority of the amount of $8,679.84. nearly a decade ago.

 

Commonwealth vs. Braxton Lafferty

 

The Grand Jury charges that from December 7, 2012 through December 31, 2014 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. Braxton Lafferty committed the offense of fraudulent use of a credit card over $500.00 by knowingly and unlawfully defrauding an account registered to the Martin County Housing Authority, for the purpose of obtaining money or goods, or anything of value namely $8,679.84 in goods by representing without consent of the cardholder that he was the holder of that specific card with the authorized purchase exceeding $500.00.

 

Commonwealth vs. Elyonna Lafferty
The Grand Jury charges that from December 7, 2012 through December 31, 2014 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Elyonna  Lafferty acting alone or in complicity with Garry Lafferty committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.00 by knowingly and unlawfully taking or exercising control over $8,679.84 with the intent to deprive The Martin County Housing Authority.

 

Commonwealth vs. Garry Lafferty
The Grand Jury charges that from December 7, 2012 through December 31, 2014 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Garry  Lafferty acting alone or in complicity with Elyonna Lafferty committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.00 by knowingly and unlawfully taking or exercising control over $8,679.84 with the intent to deprive The Martin County Housing Authority.

 

Commonwealth vs. Destiny Moore
The Grand Jury charges that on on or before January 24, 2022  in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. Destiny Moore committed the offense of assault in the third degree by knowingly and unlawfully physically assaulting or attempting to assault Donald Setser, an employee of the Department of Community Based Services employed as a social worker, while working within his official capacity.

 

Commonwealth vs. Christopher Maynard
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December  2, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. Christopher Maynard acting alone or in complicity with Marcella Moore committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

 

2. Christopher Maynard acting alone or in complicity with Marcella Maynard committed the offense of possession/drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of an altered straw.

 

Commonwealth vs. Marcella Maynard
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December  2, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:
1. Marcella  Maynard acting alone or in complicity with Christopher Moore committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
2. Marcella Maynard acting alone or in complicity with Christopher Maynard committed the offense of possession/drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of an altered straw.

 

Commonwealth vs. Robin Hinkle
The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 27, 2021 in Martin County, Ky the above named defendant:

 

1. Robin Hinle committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.
