PIKEVILLE, KY . — After losing a heartbreaker Monday the Lady Bulldogs bounced back with a 8-5 victory over Pike Co. Central Tuesday to even their record at 1-1 to open up the Softball season

The Lady Dawgs scored 6 runs in the top of the first and 8th Grader Alli Triplett threw a complete game to pick up the road victory. She also had 3 hits and 2 RBIs to help her cause.
Junior Ashley Hayes had 2 hits including a double scored twice and knocked in a run. Senior Abby Fletcher finished with 2 hits and scored a run, 8th Grader Kensley Feltner smacked a 2 run double and scored 2 runs, Junior Halli Caudill had 1 hit, 2 runs and stole 2 bases, Amber Triplett had 1 hit, 1 run and 1 RBI.and 7th Grader Abby Nelson had a Double.

On Monday the Lady Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker in extra innings to open up the season. Lawrence Co. led the entire game until giving up the lead late.
Junior Mackenzie Methax went 7 and 2/3 innings in the circle she also had 2 hits. Hali Caudill and Junior Kassidy Cavins had 3 hits each, Abby Fletcher had 2 knocks, Amber Triplett, Lillian Kinser, Ashley Hayes and Kensley Feltner had 1 hit each.

“… We didn’t play very well against PCC we jumped up 6-0 in the first and took the foot off the throttle.”
“… Worked all summer and fall on infield drills and trying different things but they just heal every ball. Our outfield has been our bright spot so far.
