Dear Friend,

You can find my latest update below!

Our Prayers Are With Kentucky

As Kentucky begins the long road to recovery after last week’s devastating tornadoes, Kelley and I are praying for all the lives lost, their families, and the Kentuckians who have been displaced. Our hearts are with every community affected.

Governor Andy Beshear recently shared that eight individuals remain hospitalized — three in critical condition, one in serious, and four in stable condition. Tragically, 19 lives were lost in the storms that tore through Pulaski, Laurel, and Russell counties.

FEMA aid has been approved and my office stands ready and able to help.  You can start the application here.

We will continue to stand with Kentucky — in prayer, in hope, and in action.

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39

Kentucky Disaster Assistance

My office remains in constant contact with local and state officials as they lead disaster recovery efforts, and we remain ready to assist in any way we can.

If you need assistance with a FEMA claim or appeal, please call my State Office at (270) 782-8303, and one of my staff members will be happy to help.

Dr. Rand Paul highlights Tulsi Gabbard’s Quiet Skies surveillance and backs her mission to reform the intelligence community

The Biden administration’s TSA used the so-called “Quiet Skies” program to surveil Tulsi Gabbard—tracking her on domestic flights and treating a former Member of Congress like a terror suspect. Her only “crime”? Exercising her First Amendment rights and speaking out against the administration’s policies. It’s the kind of abuse we’ve come to expect from an intelligence community that’s been weaponized against the American people.

Now, Tulsi Gabbard is serving as Director of National Intelligence—and exposing the very system that targeted her. There’s no one better to lead the intelligence community, and no one the Deep State fears more. I appreciate her willingness to call this out for what it is: a blatant violation of civil liberties under the false pretense of national security.

I’m also grateful to Secretary Noem for taking these revelations seriously and committing to real oversight. We cannot allow federal agencies to trample on Americans’ rights and operate without accountability. The surveillance state has gone unchecked for far too long. It’s time we end these abuses and return to a government that respects your freedom.

Dr. Rand Paul pushes for full oversight of DHS virus research and applauds Secretary Noem for committing to a site visit

Image
Newly obtained documents confirm DHS has sponsored research eerily similar to gain-of-function, including efforts to aerosolize Ebola and recreate a virulent strain of anthrax. These experiments took place at the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC), right next to NIH’s Fort Detrick campus—where a recent FBI-investigated biosafety breach involved a deliberately slashed suit during Ebola handling. This kind of high-risk research has no business being conducted in secrecy, especially by an agency tasked with protecting the homeland.

During the hearing, I doubled down on demands for answers and asked Secretary Kristi Noem whether DHS would follow through on Secretary Kennedy’s pledge to conduct oversight of NBACC. Secretary Noem confirmed the visit is happening soon—and I look forward to joining them. I appreciate her efforts to steer DHS back to its core mission of security, transparency, and accountability. I’m pushing my Risky Research Review Act to ensure dangerous virus research gets independent review, not rubber-stamped by unelected bureaucrats behind closed doors.

Dr. Rand Paul returns money to the U.S. Treasury

Image
I’ve returned over $8.3 million to the U.S treasury since taking office in 2011. I’ll keep fighting to cut waste, and put your hard-earned money back in your pocket.

HELP Committee Hearing: Fiscal Year 2026 Department of Health and Human Services Budget

I asked HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about a reported breach at the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center in Fort Detrick. His answer was chilling.

He confirmed that the FBI is actively investigating a serious incident in which a biosafety suit was deliberately slashed—while handling Ebola. RFK Jr. called it a deliberate criminal act.

This is exactly the kind of high-risk research I’ve been warning about. Dangerous pathogens. Government secrecy. And no accountability.

I appreciate Secretary Kennedy’s transparency and his commitment to ending dangerous gain-of-function research once and for all. I look forward to joining him, Governor Kristi Noem, and Dr. Jay Bhattacharya on an upcoming visit to Fort Detrick to get answers.

Dr. Rand Paul Voted to Stop Newsom’s Emissions Mandate Madness

I voted to pass three Congressional Review Act resolutions—H.J.Res. 87, 88, and 89—to overturn EPA waivers letting California force radical emissions mandates on the entire country.

Gavin Newsome’s mandates aren’t about clean air—they’re about top-down control. They’ll crush truckers, bankrupt small businesses, and leave working Americans stuck with unaffordable options they didn’t choose.

No single state should dictate federal policy—especially not one that can’t keep the lights on or put out forest fires. I’ll keep standing up to the climate tyrants and fighting for common sense, freedom of choice, and the right to drive what you want.

Dr. Rand Paul Salutes Kentucky Law Enforcement and Pushes for Stronger Support

Image
March 12th marked the start of National Police Week—a time to honor the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across the country. I had the chance to meet with members of the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police, including Sheriff Berl Perdue and leaders from across the Commonwealth.

We discussed critical Public Safety Officers’ Benefits legislation and ways to better support those who put their lives on the line to protect our communities.

Dr. Rand Paul Stands with Kentucky’s Hardwood Producers—Growing Jobs and Local Industry

Image
I met with members of the Kentucky Hardwood Federation to discuss the issues impacting one of Kentucky’s most important industries. From trade policy and tax reform to the upcoming Farm Bill, we talked about how to protect jobs, strengthen rural economies, and ensure Kentucky wood products remain competitive at home and abroad.

Dr. Rand Paul Backs Career-Ready Education with Kentucky’s Community Colleges

Image
It was a pleasure to meet with Dr. Ryan Quarles, President of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, to discuss how we can continue supporting workforce development, skills training, and education access across the Commonwealth.

Dr. Rand Paul meets with Kentucky business leaders to discuss the real cost of tariffs

Image
I sat down with business leaders from across Kentucky, including the CEO of Greater Louisville Inc., to hear firsthand how tariffs are crushing small businesses and job creators. I have discussed these concerns with President Trump, and I’ll keep pushing for solutions that let our small businesses and Kentucky families thrive without government-imposed barriers.

Dr. Rand Paul sits down with mayors from Northern Kentucky to hear local concerns and offer real solutions

Image
I had a great discussion with mayors and local leaders from across Northern Kentucky about the economy and infrastructure needs in the region. Thanks to Mayor Ron Washington for hosting us in Covington. When DC isn’t delivering, our local leaders know they can call my office—I’ll pick up the phone and get it done.
