COLUMBIA, Ky. (WKYT) – A Kentucky woman is accused of trying to get a juvenile to kill her husband.
On Thursday, March 27, the Adair County Juvenile Detention Center conducted a routine search of its living units, according to Kentucky State Police Post 15.
In a press release, troopers say letters and explicit material found in a male juvenile’s bunk were sent by an Adair County School teacher assigned to the facility.
The detention center immediately confiscated the material and contacted KSP.

Detectives say they discovered evidence that 27-year-old Elena Bardin of Columbia solicited a male juvenile to kill her husband. Evidence also allegedly revealed Bardin had subjected the juvenile to illegal sexual contact and provided him with sexually explicit images of herself.
On Wednesday, April 2, Kentucky State Police arrested Bardin.
She is lodged in the Adair County Detention Center on charges of murder (solicitation), first-degree sexual abuse and distribution of obscene matter to a minor (first offense).
The incident remains under investigation.
