Theft ring charged in June indictments; Lawrence Grand Jury returns multiple other charges
The home of a couple presently doing time for Trafficking is burglarized and the 3 people responsible are caught and indicted this month. Heather and Glen Fluty had been awaiting their sentence in Federal court when their garage was burglarized.
Here are the June indictments:
Jimmy Dale Maynard, 38 of Louisa, KY indicted for MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE 1st offense, (class B felony that carries a penalty of 10 to 20 years) PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER (enhancement)
The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 3rd, 2017 in Lawrence Co., Mr. Maynard was acting alone in complicity with Christina M. Moore, Curtis Rowe, William Perry and/or Michael Mills knowingly and unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine or being in possession of the chemicals and equipment to manufacture methamphetamine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. The defendant also charged with Persistent Felony Offender for having been convicted of a previous felony. Bail set at 10,000.

Jimmy Dale Maynard, 38 of Louisa indicted on POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE 1st degree, (a class d felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years) USE/ POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA 1 st offense (class A misdemeanor) ASSAULT IN THE 4th DEGREE (class A misdemeanor)
The grand jury charges that on or before April 6, 2017 the defendant committed the offenses by knowingly and unlawfully possessing methamphetamine, I controlled substance possessing a torch tip top two pieces of aluminum foil with burn marks, three coffee filters and two lightbulbs. The defendant knowingly and unlawfully assaulted his domestic partner Christina Moore, causing physical harm to her. Bail set at 5000.
Michael Mills, 57 of Lomansville, KY. Indicted on MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE (a class B felony with a penalty of 10 to 20 years)
The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 3, 2017 in Lawrence County that Mr. Mills acting alone or in complicity with Curtis Dale Rowe, Jimmy Dale Maynard, Christina M. Moore and/or William George Perry knowingly and unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine or being in possession of the chemicals and equipment to manufacture methamphetamine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Bail set for 20,000.
Curtis Dale Rowe, 42 of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE 1st offense (a class B felony with a penalty of 10 to 20 years) and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER (an enhancement) The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 3, 2017 in Lawrence County that Mr. Mills acting alone or in complicity with Michael Mills, Jimmy Dale Maynard, Christina M. Moore and/or William George Perry knowingly and unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine or being in possession of the chemicals and equipment to manufacture methamphetamine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, the defendant having been convicted of a previous felony is charged with persistent felony offender. Bail set at $30,000.

William George Perry, 46 of Louisa, KY. Indicted on MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE (a class B felony with a penalty of 10 to 20 years)
The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 3, 2017 in Lawrence County that Mr. Mills acting alone or in complicity with Curtis Dale Rowe, Jimmy Dale Maynard, Michael Mills and/or Christina Moore knowingly and unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine or being in possession of the chemicals and equipment to manufacture methamphetamine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. James Burchette, 38 of Louisa, KY. Indicted on 2 COUNTS OF RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER $10,000 (a class D Felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years)
The Grand Jury charges that on December 11th, 2016 through December 29th, 2016 in Lawrence Co. the defendant was knowingly and unlawfully in possession of a 2001 Honda Shadow motorcycle stolen from Glenn Fluty of Louisa with a value of $2500. Mr. Burchette knowingly and unlawfully possessed a Honda 500 Foreman ATV stolen from Glenn Fluty with a value of $1000. Bail set at $5000.
ON A SEPARATE INDICTMENT:
James Burchette, 38 of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER 10,000 (a class D felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years) The grand jury charges that on or about November 12, 2016 through January 12, 2017 in Lawrence County that the defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a 1999 GMC Sierra pick up truck stolen from Alesha and Jonathan Stacy.
William McCoy, 45 of Louisa, KY. Indicted on BURGLARY IN THE 3rd degree (a class D Felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years) THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OVER $500./COMPLICITY (a class D felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years)
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 11, 2016 through December 29, 2016 in Lawrence County Kentucky, William McCoy acting alone or in complicity with William Green Ramey and Crystal Cordle knowingly and unlawfully entered and remained in an out- building owned by Glenn Fluty with the intent to commit a crime of theft. Mr. McCoy acting alone or in complicity with Green Ramey and Crystal Cordle knowingly and unlawfully taking a 2001 Honda shadow motorcycle valued at 2500 Suzuki 50 model dirt bike valued at $200, a Kawasaki 110 model dirt bike valued at 200, and a Stihl brand trimmer valued at 200, a Stihl brand brush cutter valued at 300., A projector valued at 200, chainsaw valued at 75, a reciprocating saw valued at 75, a Honda Fourman valued at 1000., air compressor, craftsman tool box, tool bucket and a miter saw valued at 75., and $1450. Bail set at 5,000.

Keith Hammond, 50 of Louisa Ky. Indicted on BURGLARY IN THE 1st DEGREE (a class B felony with a penalty of 10 to 20 years) 2 counts of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON/COMPLICITY (class D felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years) and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER (an enhancement)
The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 14, 2017 Keith Hammons acting alone or in complicity with Jesse Taylor committed the offense of burglary by knowingly and unlawfully entering the residence of Joe Osborne and John Osborne in Webbville, Ky. With the intent to commit the crime of theft and upon flight was armed with various firearms, The defendant possessed a 12 gauge shotgun after having been previously convicted of a felony, and possessed a 50 caliber black powder rifle after having been previously convicted of a felony, The defendant having been charged in the indictment along with the previous felony is charged Persistent Felony Offender.
Holly Johnson, 39 of Webbville, Ky. Indicted on RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY/Firearm/Complicity (a class D felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years)

The Grand Jury charges that on or about March 26, 2017 the defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed methamphetamine, a controlled substance, The descendent operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a drivers ability to operate that motor vehicle, the defendant possessed a digital scale, the defendant operated a motor vehicle without the use of seat belts and without the proper operators license. Marissa Doss, 21 of Prichard, WV indicted on POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (a class D felony with a penalty of 1 to 3 years) POSSESSION /USE DRUG PARAPHERNALIA (class A misdemeanor) POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA (class B misdemeanor).
The Grand Jury charges on or about April 21, 2017 the defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of hydrocodone, the defendant committed the offense of possession by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a digital scale, The defendant committed the offense of possession of marijuana by knowingly and unlawfully possessing marijuana. David Brian Johnson, 40 of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on ESCAPE IN THE SECOND DEGREE (a class D felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years) FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE IN THE SECOND DEGREE ON FOOT (class A misdemeanor) RESISTING ARREST (class A misdemeanor), and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER (an enhancement) .
The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 20th 2017 in Lawrence County, David B. Johnson committed the offense of Escape by knowingly and unlawfully escaping the custody of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s department by fleeing on foot while being in custody on a felony indictment. The defendant committed the offense a Fleeing/ Evading Police by knowingly and unlawfully disregarding the orders of chief Deputy Mark Wheeler’s orders to “stop” who had an articulable reason suspicion that the crime of escape had been committed, The defendant committed the offense of resisting arrest by knowingly and unlawfully disregarding chief Deputy Mark Wheeler’s commands while preventing the officers working in his official capacity from placing the defendant under arrest, having been convicted of a previous felony, the defendant is charged with Persistent Felony Offender. The Grand Jury charges that on February 16, 2017 Christina Collins committed the offense of burglary unknowingly and unlawfully entering and remaining in Walmart of Louisa after previously being banned from the store. Bail set at $5000.

Indicted on RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY/Firearm/Complicity (a class D felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years) The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 14, 2017 in Lawrence County the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Holly Johnson committed the offense by knowingly and unlawfully being in physical possession of a 12 gauge shotgun and a 50 caliber black powder rifle stolen from the residence of Joe and John Osborne in Webbville, Ky. Bail set at $5000.
