LAWRENCE COUNTY FISCAL COURT NAMED VIEWERS TO CROSS STREET…

The Lawrence County Fiscal Court had a Special Meeting on Thursday March 13, 2025 at 12PM at the LC Courthouse, 122 S. Main Cross Street, Downtown 2nd Floor, Louisa, Kentucky 41230. Lawrence County Judge Executive Phillip Carter was in attendance along with Lawrence County Magistrates David Pinson, Rick Blackburn, Michael Mouse Halcomb and John Scaggs.

APPROVE HB1 GRANT RESOLUTION
The HB1 Grant Resolution was passed unanimously with a Motion by Rick Blackburn seconded by Michael Mouse Halcomb.

ADVERTISE TO PURCHASE DUMP TRUCKS
LC Judge Executive Phillip Carter said, “This item has already been done.”

ACCEPT CLERKS 2024 FINANCIAL STATEMENT PENDING AUDIT
The Clerks 2024 Financial Statement pending Audit was approved unanimously with a Motion by David Pinson seconded by Rick Blackburn.

ACCEPT CLERK 2024 EXCESS FEES PENDING AUDIT
Lawrence County Clerk Chris Jobe said, “The amount of 2024 Excess fees were $31,252.56.” The Motion was passed unanimously by Michael Mouse Halcomb and Rick Blackburn.

APPROVE PAYMENT FOR BLAINE CDBG
LC Judge Executive Phillip Carter said, “The walls are up.” The Court unanimously approved this item with a Motion by David Pinson seconded by Michael Mouse Halcomb.

ACCEPT SHERIFF 2024 FINANCIAL STATEMENT PENDING AUDIT
The Sheriff 2024 Financial Statement Pending Audit was passed unanimously with a Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb and seconded by Rick Blackburn.

ACCEPT CLERK 2023 EXCESS FEES FROM AUDIT
“The Clerks 2023 Excess fees from the Audit were $2,543.21” said LC Clerk Chris Jobe. This item was passed unanimously with a Motion by Rick Blackburn seconded by John Scaggs.

APPOINT VIEWERS FOR CROSS STREET ON THE POINT SECTION
LC Judge Executive Phillip Carter said, Cross Street needs to be given back to the land owner and viewers need to be appointed.” LC Clerk Chris Jobe said, “This street was laid out as a subdivision and KRS requires the County to be the mediator to send viewers out.” Phillip Carter named Neil Wilson and Vince Doty as viewers for Cross Street. Motion was passed unanimously with a Motion by Rick Blackburn and seconded by Michael Mouse Halcomb. Viewers are members of the community that visit the actual site and make a determination for the court.
