John Butch Preston
Trump Women
My name is Ned. You voted for Trump, of course, but most of you are progressive liberals and don’t know it. Beginning with voting itself: I know you appreciate this right, granted to you by the 19th amendment in 1920. Women of that era rallied for this right all over the country, marching and speaking out. Had you lived and participated in this effort back then you would have been labeled a progressive liberal. And this, by association, makes you one today when you go out and express your right to vote.
I’m sure you all are thankful for that sweet little social security check your dead husband worked for, or the one you get if you worked yourself. Social security was enacted in 1935 by FDR so that Americans would have money to live on in old age or if disabled. Social security is pure basic socialism, and so are the armed forces and your local police department. I reckon you are glad we have all this security, and if so, you are a progressive liberal.
Of course, you are for gun control. That goes without saying. You don’t want to see innocent citizens killed at random, one of whom could very well be your son or daughter next time. So, I think you are proud to be a progressive liberal on this issue—in opposition to your master.
Now when you go to the grocery store to buy all kinds of vegetables reasonably priced, you never think of how they got there. Then let me tell you: by the backbreaking labor of Mexican immigrants, jobs any white or black American refuses to even think about doing. I would estimate that if it weren’t for Mexican labor that nice juicy watermelon you want to buy would probably cost you nearly double what you normally pay. So even if you don’t consciously realize how grateful you are for these workers, in the back of your mind you are a progressive liberal and don’t know it.
One of the major reasons many of you voted for Trump was because of the abortion issue. I can show you that in the deep recesses of your soul you agree with a woman’s right to choose, despite yourself, and why Roe v. Wade will never be overturned, despite what Trump tells you, but I won’t. I’ll let you ponder that yourselves if you’re smart enough.
I will say this: I agree with you that God made Trump President, mainly to show how ugly we Americans have become—on both sides.
BOY you will definitely get it now
KAG
I do know of one ugly American. His photo is at the top of this birdcage liner. Where did you ever get the nerve to assume you know what people are thinking. You are a hopeless, brainless hack that has no business writing anything for public consumption. Everything you spew out is meant to offend someone, more often than not God-fearing Christian Americans. I assure you that, in the deep recesses of my soul, I will never in any way support anything that supports abortion. If an unborn child’s life is to be ended or delivered into this world, only God has the right to decide. Ultimately, He is the one who creates that life to begin with. Once again, you have nauseated me beyond being able to eat my lunch. I will not visit this website again.
I wish I could say I was surprised by your writings. However, after following some of your recent work, I have come to realize you are purely a partisan. You show that you base your writings completely in your feelings and not once have I ever read anything from you which shows any evidence of being accurate. If you would like to debate the merits of your writings I am available, just reply here and we will schedule the meeting. You won’t though.
Social security is a program most people despise. Yes it is true that people are forced to live on this now since the government stole their money from them long ago through false promises and now they may never even be able to use this “fund” they paid for. This aside, my biggest bone to pick with you is about the mexican immigrants you profess your love for in your writing. you make blatant statements about Americans without giving them the oppurtuntiy to refute your garbage. The issue with immigrants working here is not that people hate immigrants, it is thatthey workin horrible conditions, under less than minimum wage pay, with no health care, and they do not pay taxes. This takes jobs from Americans. The citizens you speak would do the job, for fair pay and benefits, but they refuse to be slaves. So the companies hire imigrants to do this and not only mess with the economy, but people’s lives. One could argue that trying to ensure immigrants do not take those jobs is saving them from alife of servitude.
All in all, you sir, are an extraordinarily dull individual.
if you think the immigrants are the problem then instead of building a wall why not go after the employers and start putting them in jail that would be a better way to fix the problem if they can’t find work I would think it will maybe slow the flow in this country and as social security goes have no idea what you are talking about
KAG
KAG,
Well I like you rideas honestly and it will probably assist to a degree. However, for as long as human kind has been around there has been someone who will corrupt the system. I agree we should go after them, but at the same time it is not just the employment that is the problem. There is also an inflow of substances coming acorss the border, criminals, it brings rise to back markets and coyotes as well as sex trafficking.
Social Security is a program which was forced on the american public as a means to help them pay for the things they needed when and if they retired. However, politicians who created the program used the money for other programs trying to emulate what banks do and now the system is broke and those same polticians are talking about abolishing the system. The same system people were forced to turn their money over to, including all working people, for years. So in reality, although I have paid into the system for my entire working life, I will never be able to use the program which was marketed to me for use in retirement. This of course in place of me taking that money and playing the market or using a 401K or similar system which would have matched my contribuiton.
This is what is wrong with liberal policies. They think not about the long term, only the short term. People are poor so take the money from the wealthy. They play the heart strings of people like, “do you want these people to starve, do you want people to be homeless, do you want people to overdose when you can help them, people need schooling for free, food for free, housing for free..” This is crazy. The founding fathers noted that as a nation, we are endowed by our creator to certain inalienable rights, that among these are the right to “life” which liberals do not agree to, the right to liberty, which is to be free from government tyranny, and the “pursuit” of happiness. It does not say that they happiness will ever be achieved, but you can pursue it.
It should be well understood that people of all walks of life should come here, I would want to. But, they should do it the right way. Without cheating or gaming the system and taking stuff from the citizens of this nation.
Mr. Preston, you have made my day! Historically, every comment you made was accurate. Anyone who has taken even the most basic of political science classes knows these things are factual. The simple fact that you wrote this and put in the the Lazer in eastern Kentucky, well, you may have just become my hero! Thanks for the big smile on my face and the laughs I couldn’t control. The condition of this country at present is nauseating. I suppose, of course, this is what we get when the uneducated rule by popular sovereignty. From Plato’s Republic ““Unless, said I, either philosophers become kings in our states or those whom we now call our kings and rulers take to the pursuit of philosophy seriously and adequately, and there is a conjunction of these two things, political power and philosophic intelligence, while the motley horde of the natures who at present pursue either apart from the other are compulsory excluded, there can be no cessation of troubles, dear Glaucon, for our states, nor, I fancy, for the human race either.”
Cinsunny,
Your take on this article lacks the most basic understanding of political norms. “Anyone who has taken a political science course”. Well, I have a degree in this from an actual university.
Would you agree that democrats from that era would be considered conservatives today? Because one need only go back 20 years to see that the statements and speeches of democrats eerily match those of trump today. It just wasn’t an issue then because there was a D next to their name.
Further, freedom of expression does not make you a progressive liberal regardless of what someone might tell you. Conservatives protest just like liberals do and protesting for equal rights is not something only liberals do. The reasoning on this is circular. It is so because as a liberal, you believe you are the party that believes in equal rights, thus someone protesting for equal rights must be liberal.
Lastly, the previous point was the only point made in the entire article. The other statements are just statements like, “ you are for gun control” when he has absolutely zero idea of who or if they are. A majority of conservatives are not for gun confiscation, which is hidden behind the term gun control. You know it, and so do I.
Liberals may do better by just being honest. They prefer a selfish world. One where baby murder is legal so long as the mother says it is okay, and the only people with guns should be the government, this way nobody can stand up to them when they tell you that your paycheck now goes to them for their “worthy” causes.
It is not that conservatives today are progressive liberals or ever were. It’s that progressive liberals used to be same and sensical. Now they advocate for open borders, government takeover, and child murder.
