James Gilliam, 77, of Fort Gay, WV passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at his home.

James was born September 7, 1946 in Wayne County, WV to the late Crampton and Helen (Pack) Gilliam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Joan and brothers Bob, Billy, and Donnie. 

James was retired from the N&S Railroad.

Survivors include his children Darrell Gilliam, Scott Gilliam, and Rick Gilliam; grandchildren Jessica, James, Brett, Alyssa, Brooke, David, Courtney, Alex, and Axsom; great grandchildren Adam, Emery, Ronan, and Kimber; sister Brenda; brother Johnny; and mother of his children Gladys Endicott.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Pack Cemetery in Fort Gay, WV.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Gilliam and his family.
