James Andrew Whitt, 71, of Tomahawk, KY; went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Community Hospice in Ashland, KY.
He was born on July 1, 1951, in Martin County, KY; he was a son to the late Ernest and Ruby Hensley Whitt. James is preceded in death by sisters, Rosalie Blackburn, and Connie Horn.
He was a coal miner and of the Baptist faith.
James is survived by his wife of 53 years; Kay Whitt of Tomahawk, KY; son, Rusty (Kristina) Whitt of Louisa, KY, daughter; Tammy (Steven) Conrad of Paintsville, KY. He leaves behind 5 grandchildren; Paxton Whitt, Kayden Whitt, Kaylee Conrad Woods, Katelyn Newsome, Boo Newsome and 1 great grandchildren; Asher James Woods; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield, KY, with funeral services being held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 12pm with Lonnie Ratliff and Dennis Hughes officiating.
