Herbert Lee Hooser

1976 – 2016

Herbert Lee Hooser, 40 of Prichard passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in Fort Gay due to an automobile accident.

He was born on March 23, 1976 to Judith Marie Rice-Hooser of Prichard and the late Ronnie Lee Hooser. 

Mr. Hooser was a driver with Tri River Transit formerly Wayne Express. He was of the Baptist Faith and attended various area churches. 

Herbert leaves behind a loving family including his devoted wife Samantha Ellen Dean-Hooser of Prichard; four sons Jeremy Taylor Harper of Ashland, Herbert Lee Thomas Hooser of Louisa, Samuel Edward Hooser and Glendon William Hooser both of Prichard; his mother Judith Marie Roce-Hooser of Prichard; his “Grannymom” Lucille Rice of Prichard; two brothers Mark Edward (Allison) Hooser of Beckley and Adam Curtis (Brynna) Hooser of Fort Gay; four aunts Rita (Ray) Mecca of Ashland, Roberta (Jack) Skeens of Lexington, Joyce Skeens of Prichard and Mary (Russ) Adkins of Louisa; one uncle Arthur Herbert (Tenny) Hooser of Jackson, Ohio; nieces and nephews Blake, Brooklyn, Maddox, Lynnox and Jacob; one brother-in-law Ricky Dean of Huntington; two sisters-in-law Amanda (James) Fannin of Prichard and Kristen Marie (Jeb) Dean of Fort Gay; one very special friend Kevin Pack of Prichard as well as many friends and extended family members all of whom will cherish his memory.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Young Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at the Community Chapel Cemetery in Prichard.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6-9 pm at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the funeral home to assist them with final expenses.
