C.O.P.S. Paranormal members says ‘ghosts watching them’
Just in time for the season of ghosts and goblins, came an opportunity to meet and interview a real life ghost hunting team. Most of us watch the dramatized TV shows, these guys are the real deal! As I did the interview, they showed me pictures that had been taken at the Fallsburg Fearplex since setting up their booth.
“I knew we were being watched, so I asked the guys to start taking pictures,“ stated Annie Weible during the interview. Sure enough she was exactly right. The evidence showed a women standing in the woods above them, although she was not seen with their eyes alone.
C.O.P.S. Paranormal was founded in 2014 by lead investigators Sam Henderson and Annie Weible. Building upon and learning from their own paranormal experiences, this duo of Wayne County natives set out to help others understand their own paranormal experiences. The COPS (Coalition of Paranormalists) team has investigated some of the most haunted locations in the country; However the COPS team has its roots grounded in residential investigations, helping local families dissect their paranormal problems. In 2014, COPS teamed up with Visual Vindication, a production company from Huntington led by brothers Lonnie and Tim Vanscoy.
A chance meeting in 2013 between C.O.P.S. Paranormal Co-Founder/investigator Sam Henderson and Production Company Visual Vindication LLC of Huntington, WV; sparked a new chapter in production within the region.
Sam auditioned at a Visual Vindication casting call, he wasn’t initially chosen for that cast. He was selected for a separate horror film that began production in August 2014.
On set of “West of Chemical Valley”, Sam pitched the C.O.P.S. Paranormal team to Visual Vindication’s Jon Insco. The pitch spread through the production team like wild fire.
That following November, Visual Vindication’s Tim VanScoy was on hand, camera ready at a C.O.P.S. Paranormal Public investigation. This pilot episode at Ramsdell House, featuring Sam Henderson and C.O.P.S. Co-Founder/investigator Annie Weible, would quickly become one of the most popular paranormal episode’s available on youtube. The episode is still making user top ten lists, still to this day.
Annie and Sam have quickly burst onto the paranormal scene since then, exploding in popularity. A talented duo, infectious personalities, literal spirit magnets some might say. They have investigated some of the region’s most haunted locations, including Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, Lake Shawnee Amusement Park, Rohs Opera House, Prospect Place, and Saint Albans Sanatorium, and hundreds of residential and commercial calls. Co-Headlining public investigations, along side some of the most popular investigators in the paranormal world today.
Rising together against all odds, this powerhouse mashup of paranormal and production has spawned the official C.O.P.S. Paranormal Documentary, releasing through Visual Vindication this fall. “If I have learned one thing from Sam and Annie, its that everyday comfortable reality is just a mirage, we believe in them, and were here to entertain that.” said Visual Vindication’s Lonnie VanScoy.
Visual Vindication has since followed COPS to these locations, documenting their most shocking paranormal finds. States co-founder Annie Weible, “Our motto is as follows: Using science, theory, and the power of the mind to research the paranormal world. We begin each investigation as skeptics, and time after time have been proven the existence of paranormal activity.”
You can meet the group at the Fallsburg Fearplex and see the evidence yourself on October 28 and 29.
