George “Joe” Lowe, 73, of Louisa, KY passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Joe was born May 27, 1951 in Crum, WV to the late Howard and Bernice (Marcum) Lowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph Lowe and Howard Lowe.

Survivors include his children Melissa “Missy” (Terry) Waugh, Judy (Travis) Henry, Bobbi “BJ” (Ralph) Christian, and George “Joey” Lowe, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren with 3 additional great grandchildren on the way; and siblings Bill Marcum, Bob Marcum, Delores Maynard, Betty Maynard, and Helen Preece.

George loved to be outdoors and his happiest time was spent fishing.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Private burial for Joe will be in the Waugh Family Cemetery.

In lieu of the flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Lowe and his family.
