MURDER VICTIM…ALMOST? HAZARD MILLER, 74, OF FEDSCREEK, KY., IN PIKE COUNTY.

The Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville, KY. have identified the body of the person involved in an ongoing death investigation in Pike County.

According to statements made on Wednesday, September 29, by KSP Post 9 Public Affairs Officer, trooper Michael Coleman, KSP Post 9 troopers responded to a call on Tuesday, September 21, reporting a possible dead body, later identified as Hazard Miller, 74, of Fedscreek, Ky., by an abandoned surface mining access road in the Phelps area of Pike County..

After a further investigation, trooper Michael Coleman told Hazard, KY. television news station WYMT, “At this point in the investigation we are able to confirm that foul play was involved in the death of Hazard Miller.”

However, trooper Coleman said this is still a death investigation at this time, rather than a murder investigation.

The cause of death of Hazard Miller remains undetermined at this time.

If anyone has any information regarding the Hazard Miller death case, are asked to contact Kentucky State Police with tips, which can be anonymous.

Meanwhile, the family of Hazard Miller is offering a $3,000 REWARD for any information leading to the conviction of Hazard Miller’s murderer.
