COACH’S COMMENTS
“…I was really proud of our effort throughout the game. Had some nerves at the beginning and missed some layups, but I thought we settled down after the first quarter and competed really hard.”
“… Made a really good run to start the second half and tied the score after being down seven at halftime. Hit a couple big threes and forced them to call timeout. Any time you can do that and make a team call timeout it’s huge. We didn’t quit after being in that early hole and let the lead balloon to twenty points and is something that we can be proud of and build on.”
“… Hurricane has a nice team with a couple studs in Jackson Clark and Mondrell Dean. They are going to give teams fits in Class 4A. Our guys battled them all game long and never once back down even though we were giving size at each position.”

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… I was really proud of our effort. I told them at halftime let’s win the second half and give ourselves a chance to win the game and they did just that. I thought we struggled a little bit with dribble penetration and we got in a bit of foul trouble as well. I told them midway through the second quarter that we are going to attack them defensively and by the end of the game I thought we did a pretty decent job on them.”
“… We have to find some things that we can do the offensive end ro get us going early and to score more points. We got to many good shooters and scorers to struggle. It’s on us coaches to find ways to get that done. We have to put them in better situations offensively.”
“… We didn’t get a second scrimmage and usually between those scrimmages you see the most growth so hopefully next weekend at home you will see some improvement.”
“… We have girls that played JV last year or middle school that we are throwing in there, but in the long run that will help us grow and will make us better. We were down 14 at halftime and could have easily Kaye’s down but we didn’t and made it interesting at the end.”
