(Thursday, December 27, 2018) Jill York joins KCNPNM after twenty-five years in the communications industry. A familiar face in non-profit and community service circles in North East Kentucky, she has a legacy of active leadership and innovative problem solving.
A graduate of Transylvania University, she sharpened her skills at Marshall University’s W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and operated a printing, media and public relations company in her hometown of Grayson, Ky. Jill is a Kentucky Jaycee Thoroughbred, a former Chamber of Commerce President, former Fair Board President, chairman of the “Summer Bash” Fundraiser and she continues to serve as director and advisor to many regional boards.
Jill recently ended her eighth year of service in the Kentucky General Assembly where she served as Representative for the 96th House District and as chair of an Appropriations & Revenue Sub-Committee which had oversight of five cabinets of state government. Today, she hosts a weekly live-stream broadcast, “The Big Picture” on Ashland’s MyTownTv.com that addresses topics of note within the region.
She and husband Donald M. Malone make their home in Grayson, Ky.
